Evanston 4th of July Parade

After the games, the oldest Cub Scout Pack in Evanston will be joining other Evanston Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, & Venturers in the annual parade!

We will be walking down Central Avenue.  Siblings and other family members are welcome to walk with us as well.

We meet at Central Park & Central at 1:15pm to get in order, and finish decorating for the parade.

If you are helping with the Cubmobiles, you will do that directly from the games.

Scouts and Adult Leaders:  wear your uniforms.
If you have a Girl Scout who will not be walking in the parade with another group, she can wear her uniform as well.
Parents and siblings should dress festive.
Scooters, bikes, wagons, strollers, etc. should all be decorated.

This year we will have a float as well!  We will post when we have a time and date set aside to decorate the float.

The parade starts at 2pm.
The Evanston 4th of July Celebration is organized by the Evanston 4th of July Association — a private, volunteer group. The Association is not part of the City of Evanston and receives no monetary support from the City. All aspects of the Celebration are funded by voluntary contributions from businesses and individuals.

Support the Evanston 4th of July Association while you shop!

We are now part of the eScrip Program! eScrip allows you to generate funds for the Evanston 4th of July Association through merchants such as Safeway (Dominick's), Macy's, Eddie Bauer and others. When you register your Customer Loyalty/Grocery Club Card, the Association receives 2% (or more) of your purchases as a donation from that merchant. The more Evanstonians who register, the more donations the Association receives!

There is no cost to you as a customer. All you need to do is register your card. Please take 5 minutes to register on eScrip to benefit the Evanston Fourth of July Association.

Here's what to do:

  1. Go to eScrip's registration page
  2. Designate the group - Evanston Fourth of July Assn - ID #500015707
  3. Register your grocery club card from a participating merchant and your debit/credit cards

That's it! Visit eScrip merchants to shop and earn.
